If passed, HR1775 would address this injustice
by:
(1) amending the
prostitution statute to be in inapplicable to minors; minors are
the victims,
(2) empowering
the Department of Children, Youth, and Families to coordinate and provide care
and specialized services to identified youth survivors;
(3) developing
early intervention mechanisms and protocols for stakeholders; and
(4) strengthen
the role and impact of the CSEC Statewide Coordinating Committee.
